How we handle your data

The newsletter

When you subscribe to the newsletter we store your email address. We only use it to send you the newsletter, and we never sell it or share it with anyone else.

The newsletter is sent with Beehiiv, which stores the email addresses for us. Beehiiv is based in the United States, so your address may be processed there.

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every newsletter. We then stop emailing you.

Visiting the site

Odd & British uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting providers may briefly keep technical details, such as your IP address, to run the site and protect it from abuse.

To see which stories are read, we use Vercel Web Analytics. It counts visits without cookies and without recognising you from one day to the next, and we cannot see who visits the site.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what data we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email us at hello@oddandbritish.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
